Everything about this structure challenges the traditional blueprint; it is a bold departure from conventional residential design.
This project is a two-storey split-level residential building situated on a 740 sq.m. uphill corner lot in Sta. Rosa, Laguna. Designed in the Tropical Modernism style, the structure encompasses a total floor area of 950 sq.m. The architectural composition emphasizes horizontal planes and fluid lines, utilizing a material palette of dark metal cladding, wood plastic composite panels, and expansive glass walls. The facade features functional elements such as vertical sun louvers for solar heat reduction and a main entrance characterized by a geometric, patterned wood door.
The residence incorporates state-of-the-art infrastructure, including a comprehensive smart home system for automated lighting, climate, and security control. The roof is equipped with a solar panel array to enhance energy efficiency, while the carport includes dedicated EV charging stations for electric vehicles. Internally, the split-level layout is connected by a sculptural wood and steel staircase. Materials such as polished concrete, natural stone, and timber are used throughout the interior to maintain the tropical aesthetic. Large openings and glass railings facilitate natural ventilation and provide views of the surrounding landscape, bridging the gap between the indoor living spaces and the exterior environment.
This is ARKOSENYO’s second residential project in Sta. Rosa, Laguna.
