Proposed Architectural Design & 3D Visualization of a Three-Storey Shophouse

Location: Quezon City

Lot Area: 620 sq.m.

Total Floor Area: 1,940 sq.m.

Located in Quezon City, this four-storey shophouse development stands on a 620 sq.m. lot with a total floor area of 1,940 sq.m. The architectural design follows a modern tropical industrial style, combining functional commercial spaces on the ground floor with residential units on the levels above.

The building facade is defined by a series of balconies that feature distinct, curved structural steel wide flange sections, creating a waved profile. These curves are clad in wood plastic composite (WPC) panels, contrasting with the dark steel elements and textured stone cladding used throughout the exterior. Integrated concrete planters on each level provide space for greenery, softening the structure’s straight lines and industrial materials.

The structure is topped with a mono-pitched slanted roof finished with standing seam metal roofing and integrated solar panels.

The ground floor, housing some commercial establishments, features large glass storefronts, while upper levels utilize floor-to-ceiling glass windows for natural light. Exposed steel beams, a metal canopy with string lights, and wood ceiling accents further reinforce the modern industrial aesthetic. Interior spaces incorporate these same materials, including natural stone feature walls, raw concrete floors, and rattan light fixtures, creating cohesive transition zones between commercial and residential areas.
